Conference Highlights:
'08 Conference Profile
The 2008 Pennsylvania Parking Association Conference took place in Pittsburgh, PA from September 24th through the 26th. The conference drew numerous exhibitors and attendees from across the state as well as surrounding regions eager to learn more about what we had to say on parking!
On Wednesday morning the conference kicked off with our famous Fender Bender Open golf outing. The outing was followed by the opening of the exhibits with networking and cocktails. The PPA also hosted our first annual Restaurant Round Up which proved to be a lot of fun, mixing things up for dinner! Attendees were able to select one of four restaurants where reservations were made in advance, giving them time to meet and socialize with new people over dinner in the Pittsburgh area.
Thursday evening’s award banquet was highlighted by a keynote address by Dan Onorato, the Allegheny County Executive. Dan addressed Pittsburgh’s revitalization efforts while incorporating their goal of Green Design in new construction.
Highlights of the conference will be found throughout the newsletter and memorable moments such as the golf outing, fender bender open awards, awards banquet, museum tour, and more!
Special thanks to all of the sponsors, exhibitors, and vendors who together helped make this year’s conference a great success for the association. We look forward to seeing you next year!
